Authors Notes: YAY finally Bob makes an appearance. He's been sadly missing from the whole shenanigans so far and I've been wondering how to work him into it. I finally worked out a way.
Chapter One // Chapter Two // Chapter Three // Chapter Four // Chapter Five // Chapter Six // Chapter Seven
Bob stretches as he walks off the bus, breathing in the fresh air. He looks over at the second bus, watching as Worm and other members of the crew get off for the stop as well.
“Are you coming into the shop?” Frank asks, stepping off the bus, followed by Mikey, Gerard and Ray.
“Nah, I’m going to hang out here and have a cigarette,” Bob says, pulling out the packet from his jeans. “You want one?”
“Nah, I’m not desperate yet,” says Frank, shaking his head. He quickly walks after Mikey, who’s disappearing into the small shop. Bob offers the packet to Gerard.
Ray puts his hand on Gerard’s shoulder. “Maybe later, if there’s time.”
Gerard just nods, smiling tightly at Ray’s words, following them all into the store. Bob watches them go, lighting up. He doesn’t like the fact Gerard’s just passed up a cigarette. It’s just not like him. Worm walks over and stands next to Bob.
“He didn’t stay then?” Worm asks.
Bob shakes his head. He knows Worm is talking about Gerard. Ever since the attack - Bob and Worm refuse to call it anything other, despite Gerard’s insistence he fell down the stairs - they’ve both been keeping an eye on him.
“What do you think about Ray?” Worm asks. He’s had a bad feeling about him ever since he met Ray and it’s only gotten worse recently.
“Ray?” Bob sucks back on the cigarette, thinking about his answer. “He’s nice enough. I don’t like that though,” he says, indicating to the way Gerard is following Ray around the store. “Gerard seems to have lost himself and he’s relying too much on Ray to tell him what to do.”
Worm frowns. “I think it’s worse than that.” He was hoping that Bob was thinking along the same lines as him by now.
He takes another drag, looking at Worm. “Worse?” he asks.
“I think Ray is the one that attacked Gerard.” Worm doesn’t say what he really thinks. After yesterday’s little revelation, he thinks it’s worse than that. He thinks Ray raped Gerard but he can’t prove it and he’s not making that accusation until he’s sure.
Bob looks back at his bandmates, wandering around the store. Ray and Gerard have vanished out of sight.
“You’re serious?” Bob can’t quite believe what Worm has just said, even though it rings true in his head.
“Yes, but I don’t have any proof,” Worm replies. He hopes Bob doesn’t think he is crazy for suggesting that.
Bob looks back into the store, considering the possibility.
“Think about it, Bob. If Ray wasn’t your friend, what would you say about him as a person?”
One word springs quickly to the drummer’s mind. “Obsessive.”
“And who has he been obsessing over since before you joined us?”
“Gerard.” Bob shakes his head. He really doesn’t like that this is all making sense to him. Gerard’s behaviour has changed and they all know it. He’s gone from a happy person to someone fearful. Before the attack, Gerard made his own choices, but now he waits for Ray’s permission to speak. All his decision get passed through Ray one way or another. The more Bob thinks about it, the more he can see it. It’s obvious to him now.
“Just look at them and they way they behave. Gerard’s afraid of him.”
Bob sighs. “So what do we do?”
“There’s nothing we can do unless we get Gerard to tell us what happened.”
“Then I’ll try and make sure I’m the one that share the room with him tonight,” says Bob. He hopes that maybe if they are alone together, he can get Gerard to talk.
-------------------------------------
Gerard picks up a magazine absentmindedly flicking through it. Frank walks up behind him, pinching Gerard’s sides. He yelps and jumps, dropping the magazine on the floor.
“Jesus, Frank, you scared the shit out of me!” Gerard says, picking up the magazine.
“Whacha you reading?” Frank asks, taking the magazine out of Gerard’s hands.
“Maxim?” Frank laughs pulling a different magazine off the shelves and handing it to his friend. “I really think you’d be better off reading this.” Gerard looks at the cover, Attitude.
“Frank!”
“Well, if you’re gonna come out, you might as well start reading the literature.” Frank grins as Gerard puts the magazine back.
“All I need to do is ask you for yours then,” Gerard shoots back.
Ray walks up as Frank laughs.
“Decided?” he asks Gerard.
Gerard shakes his head.
“Do you mind if I borrow this handsome man?” Ray asks Frank quietly.
“No, sure, go ahead. He’s all yours.” Frank winks.
Gerard follows Ray to the back of the store and into the male bathroom. Ray opens one of the stall doors, and indicates for Gerard to go inside. He goes in and waits for Ray to lock the door. Ray turns and smiles, taking Gerard’s hand, pulling him into a kiss.
“I’m sorry, baby, I couldn’t wait,” Ray says, lips still hovering over Gerard’s. He kisses him again long and slow, hands trailing down his back squeezes his arse.
“You and me tonight, baby. We have a room all to ourselves,” Ray continues, between the kisses he places down the side of Gerard’s neck. “You’ll be begging me for more and when I give it to you,” Ray’s hand rubs over his crotch. “You’ll be begging me to stop.”
Ray pushes Gerard gently backwards into the wall of the cubicle. Gerard closes his eyes, and thinks of anything else than what’s happening to him right now.
“I wanna fuck you right here, right now,” Ray says sliding his hand under the waistband of Gerard’s jeans and wrapping his fingers around the flaccid cock. He slowly moves his hand, feeling Gerard’s cock start to swell under his touch.
Gerard bites his lips, hating that Ray can make him hard so easily.
“You’d like that, wouldn’t you, my love,” Ray whispers, moving his hand faster, until Gerard is fully hard in his hands.
Gerard nods, wanting to scream no. Ray kisses him, pressing him harder against the wall, fingers tugging lightly on his hair.
“We don’t have enough time.” He takes his hand from Gerard’s jeans. “I’m sorry, baby,” and kisses him softly again. “I’ll make it up to you tonight. I promise.”
Gerard smiles from relief that nothing is going to happen right now.
Ray turns and open the door. “Come on we have to get back to the others.”
Gerard follows him out of the toilets. Frank grins at them walking over.
“Have fun?” Frank asks.
Gerard turns away. Frank thinks he’s done it because he’s blushing and chuckles when he notices Gerard’s hard on.
“Awww, did he leave you wanting?” Frank teases. Gerard nods. He doesn’t think he can do this, keep lying to Frank like this.
Frank whispers in his ear, “I’m sure he won’t tonight.” He starts walking for the door. “Are you coming out for a cigarette?”
Gerard looks over at the bus, Bob and Mikey standing out there, talking and smoking. At least with them there, Frank won’t be able to talk about Ray. He glances over at Ray, who is picking out biscuits, and decides to leave while he has the chance.
“Yeah, I’m dying for one.”
